Applications and Characteristics
(i) Product characteristics.
The most commonly used matting curing agent in the field of low gloss epoxy powder coatings is MB68 matting curing agent. MB68 matting curing agent is a complex of homotetracarboxylic acid and 2-phenylimidazoline, which can be cured with epoxy resin, destroying the microscopic flatness of the coating surface, thus producing a matting effect and obtaining a low gloss coating film, thus obtaining a decorative surface. In principle, the products can be used in pure epoxy or mixed powder, however, according to their respective characteristics have a different focus: 1.
1, MB68 series can be used in pure epoxy and hybrid applications, but in hybrid powders can be obtained in a stable medium gloss.
2, MB55 whether in the pure epoxy or mixed type are suitable for the production of medium gloss (60 ° 25 ~ 40%) of the coating film.
(ii) Application.
1、Dosage: In every 100 parts of E12 epoxy resin, the dosage of MB68 is 8~10 parts, and the dosage of MB55 is 6~8 parts.
2、Processing process: Add all materials according to the formula, mix thoroughly, extrude at 95-105℃ (should not exceed 110℃, and should not be repeatedly extruded), then crush and screen through 180 mesh.
3、Curing conditions: 180℃/15～25min
190℃/10～15min
200 ℃ / 10 ~ 12min.
